The evolution of smartphones has brought a variety of apps that are available to be enjoyed by mobile devices. The use of smartphones implies the consumption of electricity. This article aims to verify the impacts of the unconscious use of electricity by the smartphones of the professors of the Law Course at UNIBRA/Recife - PE. To identify the level of awareness of teachers regarding the impacts of the use of mobile devices on electricity consumption, two questionnaires and an intervention with teachers were carried out to understand how energy consumption is treated by them and demonstrate to them that new habits in the use of smartphones contribute to the sustainable use of smartphone batteries. Based on the studies, it was possible to observe that teachers lack knowledge about the energy efficiency of mobile devices. It is hoped that this study will make teachers aware of the importance of using the battery in an intelligent and efficient way and that it will also contribute to spreading fundamental knowledge about the use of new conscious habits of energy and technology.
