Resumen

Violence against women is a recurring and multifaceted problem that manifests in different social contexts, rooted in structural, economic, and cultural factors. In the present study, social vulnerability was identified as a determining factor in this process. The study aimed to analyze how nursing professionals can act in addressing violence against women in situations of social vulnerability, identifying practices and strategies for holistic, humanized, and protective care. The research consists of a qualitative and quantitative review, encompassing scientific publications and articles selected through PICOT and PRISMA methods. Data analysis evidenced that black or mixed-race women, with low income and low education levels, are the primary victims. It was observed that nursing practice still faces barriers such as the underreporting of cases and the need for care protocols that consider the specificities of this group alongside their individuality. From these findings, it became evident that violence against women is a serious problem, not only regarding security but also public health, affecting millions of women, especially those in a context of social vulnerability.
